Christmas 2009
Christmas 2009 is one that we will not forget. It started off like any other Christmas, with us spending Christmas Eve in Auburn with my dads side of the family. We played, talked, opened presents, ate, took pictures, and ate some more, our typical family get together. By the end of the night my mama and I were so so sick, we never saw or felt it coming on. Let me just say we cleared out my aunts house so fast! We had a 45 minute drive ahead of us and just did not know how we were going to make it. After many stops on the side of the road we finally made it home. By the end of the night me, Mama, Daddy, Brother, Lynley and Kendall were sick, that is everyone but Jason, was sick. Christmas morning finally came after a very long night and noone was feeling in the Christmas spirit, we just wanted to stay in bed and do nothing. We all got up and made our way in front of the tree. We opened our gifts very slowly and our gifts stayed where we opened them. For the first time ever we missed church and missed the Mayfield family Christmas dinner. Lynley and Kendall did not get to play with a single new toy, but Lynley did get to watch all of her new movies and Kendall got to snuggle with Papa most of the day. Everyone got some great gifts, but noone could enjoy them. All in all this is a Christmas we will never forget, and not one that we wish to repeat.
